To equip SAP Business One for day to day company use, one must configure various settings, such as accounting, inventory, business partners, sales, and purchasing. Express configuration assists you in configuring company databases by providing a wizard that guides you through the essential settings for each area. In addition, you can compare previous configuration settings so that you can detect changes to a configuration, which may cause errors in the application.
You can use express configuration to:
Create a new company database using the express configuration wizard
Configure an existing company database using the express configuration wizard
Save configuration settings
Compare configuration settings
Display and print configuration reports
The Steps involved in configuring new companies are: -
Log on to SAP Business One and choose the Change Company button.
In the Choose Company window, from the New dropdown list, choose New Using Wizard.
In the Site User window, specify the site user ID and password. The Express Configuration Wizard appears.
In the Welcome window, choose Next.
In the Creating a New Company window, make the required settings and choose Next. For more information, see Express Configuration: Creating a New Company SAP Business One creates a new company with the company details you specified.
When prompted, enter a password for the new company.
In the SAP Business One End-User License Agreement window, specify the relevant data and choose I Accept.
The express configuration wizard appears. You can continue configuring the company database by going through the wizard step-by-step.
