SAP Business One 10.0 Enhancements (6)

The Final set of enhancements that we are going to discuss about are: - 

  • Serial & Batch Numbers Upgrades: - Serial Number Management and Batch Management now includes the ability to update on A/R Reserve Invoices and Inventory Transfer Requests. Destination Warehouse Code and Destination Warehouse Name now included in the Serial Number / Batch Management Update form.

  • UoM Group Upgrades: - Unit of Measure Groups may now be changed on an Item Master record and for that to happen the new UoM Group must have at least the identical set of conversion rules as the original UoM Group.  

  • Bill of Materials Upgrades: - ▪ Item Description update in the item master data connected to Bill of Materials parent item will be reflected in the Bill of Materials Product Description. Also, Direct “drill-down” to Item Master Data record now possible from the Parent Item Number in 10.0

  • Project Management Upgrades: - Interactive Gantt Chart allows Project Phases to be moved or extended/shortened interactively. In addition to that, few new fields are added representing the Project Due Date and the Finish Date.

SAP Business One 10.0 Enhancements (5)

In this blog we are going to look into some enhancements made in the Sales, Purchasing, and the Service side. 

  • Backorder Report Upgrades: - The new report now includes A/R Reserve Invoice with payment status Fully Paid, Partially Paid and Not Paid. Reserve Invoice Payment Status is included within the Filter Table.

  • Printing Service Calls and Contracts: - You can now print the Service Calls and Service Contracts using Print Preferences. Additionally, you can use Document Printing for bulk document printing and distribution. 

  • Hide Blank Lines in Addresses: - A new checkbox within the Address Formats - Setup window allows the hiding of empty address lines. When selected, ship-to and bill-to addresses in future marketing documents appear without empty lines  This setting also applies to print layouts for marketing documents defined in Crystal Reports – i.e. empty lines in addresses will also be hidden in the printed documents.

  • Add Button Extension (Marketing Docs):- The add button now comes with three additional  functionality : -

    •  Add & New: Document is added and a new window opens

    •  Add & View: Document is added and is displayed

    •  Add & Close: Document is added and window closes

The user's last choice will be remembered for the given document for the next time.

SAP Business One 10.0 Enhancements (4)

The list of 10.0 Enhancements are as follows: - 

  • Drill Down to G/L Account in Financial Reports Upgrade: - Finally SAP has introduced the drill down feature where you can view the account record within the Chart of Accounts directly from a financial report. This new feature is introduced in Balance Sheet, Trial Balance and Profit & Loss Statement. 

  • Posting Period Upgrades: - A new checkbox added to the Posting Periods window enables to define the default “Due Date To” to be set when creating new posting periods, simplifying the creation of a new financial period. In addition, there is a ‘Find’ field that allows for quick free-text searching. 

  • Extended Journal Entry Remarks: -  The journal entry remarks field id now extended to hold up to 254 characters. 

  • New UK Localization Upgrade: - New localization introduced for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to support post Brexit. In this localization Make Tax Digital and Extended Tax Reporting are set by default.

SAP Business One 10.0 Enhancements (3)

This blog will mark the third one in the 10.0 Enhancements series. The next set of enhancements are: - 

  • Field Length Upgrade: - The Customer, Vendor and the Item Group names can now contain upto 100 characters.

  •  Approval Process Upgrades:-  New setting enables approvers to update draft documents in Pending status. Last Updated By and Last Updated On fields are now available within the Request for Generation Approval form.  Approval Status Report now contains Draft Updated By, Draft Update Date, Draft Update Time, and Draft Remarks fields Both the authorizer and the originator can add the document for approval. 

  • Tab-Level Authorization Upgrades in Master Data Records: - Different authorizations can be granted to different tabs in Business Partner Master Data and Item Master Data making it possible for the users to have partial access to either of the master data. If a user has no authorization for a given tab, this tab will be automatically hidden

SAP Business One 10.0 Enhancements (2)


In this blog I will be continuing from where I left off. The next set of enhancements are: - 

 

  1.  License & Add-On Administration Upgrade: - 

 

·       A new column is added to display the username in the License Administration window and to the User Preferences tab in the Add-on Administration window. This helps the users to filter the required information more efficiently. 

 

  1. Support Expiration Date Upgrade: - 

 

·       The addition of a new field “Support Expiration Date” in the About SAP Business One window helps the user to easily identify when his/her support services expire. 

 

  1.  Document Printing Upgrades: -  

 

·       The selection criteria for document printing is enhanced with additional options according to the selected document type which in turn increases usability and productivity especially when printing a high number of documents.

 

  1. Referenced Document Upgrades: - 

 

·       The has the choice to create reference documents in Checks For Payment, Purchase Request, Goods Receipt & issue, Inventory Transfer Request, and Inventory Transfer with added advantages of being able to have a numeric indication for number of referenced documents and automatic referenced document creation from applicable marketing documents.

·       Recurring Postings can now be referenced to a single document. This document contains a reference to each recurring posting created. 

·       And finally, Module-sorted list of documents to reference are available when you try and reference one document to another.

SAP Business One 10.0 Enhancements (1)

In this blog we are mainly going to focus on the latest upgrades and enhancements that come with SAP Business One 10.0. Without further ado let’s dive on to the matter.

  1. Usability Upgrades: - 

    1. A new skin  “Belize Deep” has been added to the list. In my personal opinion, it has a clean and a fresh look and it supporting 4K monitors is just the icing on the cake. It is available for the version for SAP HANA.

  2.  User Interface Upgrades: - 

    1. You now have the option to hide the toolbars, as a result you will have more area to work with.  

    2. The company name and user name are clearly displayed at the top center of SAP Business One window; Click it to open the “Choose Company” window directly.

  3.  Form Behavior Upgrades: -

    1. Ability to resize and maximize form size are supported in these following forms: 

      1. Company Details, General Settings, Posting

      2. Periods, Print Preferences, Checks for Payment,

      3. Document Generation Wizard, Update Special

      4. Prices Globally, Trial Balance Revaluation, General

      5. Ledger, Layout and Sequence, Request for

      6. Generation Approval  Approval Stages, Export

      7. Transactions to SAP Business One, Payment

      8. Methods, Payment Terms, Query Authorization

      9. Groups, Report and Layout Manager, UDF - Field

      10. Data, Configuration Management, Cash Flow, Addon Manager.

Customer 360 Dashboard (MY 100th Blog Post)

On this joyous occasion of me successfully completing 100 blog posts I thought I'll write about something that excites me. Hence, I happened to choose the customer 360 dashboard. Customer 360 is proposed as the solution that encompasses a series of SAP products to improve the customer experience. Thus, we can have all the relevant data of our customers at a glance and in an agile way. Introduction SAP Business One Dashboards

Dashboards are an element of the cockpit, which present easy-to-understand visualizations, such as bar or pie charts, of transactional data from the SAP Business One database, matter of fact, you can even monitor performance with KPIs using dashboards. Depending on the dashboard, data can be presented either as time-specific static snapshots or as refreshable visualizations. In addition, SAP Business One partners and customers can create their own dashboards. These are some of the predefined dashboards available in SAP Business One: -

CRM KPIs

CRM KPIs evaluate the success of an organization or of a specific activity in which the organization engages. They are also defined as tools which can be used by an establishment to track its progress and success in accomplishing its mission. This is shown on a sales KPI that can alert you on when your staff could need extra training and goal setting.
